About GC Elite Türkiye
GC Elite Türkiye is an annual, Istanbul-based awards platform that recognises and celebrates the achievements, expertise and leadership of Türkiye's in-house legal counsel — the professionals who guide how businesses navigate law, regulation and commercial strategy.
The programme honours counsel across Hall of Fame, Luminary, Individual and Rising Star categories, alongside team awards across industry sectors. At its inaugural ceremony in May 2025, more than 200 legal leaders gathered at Feriye on the Bosphorus to celebrate 204 honourees — quickly establishing GC Elite as a rare meeting point for peer-level recognition and networking in Türkiye's corporate legal community.

The Founder
Barış Agun
Founder of GC Elite Türkiye, Barış Agun has been a business development professional for 27 years. He is a strategic thinker, knowledgeable in everyday business development and marketing, with a creative, enthusiastic and innovative approach — actively researching market trends, identifying growth opportunities and building strategic relationships with potential partners for clients.
Prior to starting BA Business Development Agency in August 2024, Barış was the business development manager for the Legal 500 in Türkiye for four years. His interpersonal and communication skills, analytical abilities and his passion for the country enabled him to build and retain high-value relationships with both private practice law firms and in-house legal counsel.
With over 150 law firm and over 500 in-house counsel relationships, Barış identified many opportunities to grow the Legal 500's brand. In four years he organised and hosted over 30 events and conferences across İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir — including three GC Powerlist events, the first ever legal conferences in Ankara and İzmir, and the first ever GC Academy events for junior in-house counsel.

GC Elite Türkiye 2025 celebrates the achievements and expertise of in-house legal counsel in the Turkish legal sector, highlighting the innovations, achievements and challenges faced by these professionals while also showcasing rising stars within their organizations.
As well as the Hall of Fame, Luminary and Individual categories, GC Elite Türkiye highlights Rising Stars within the in-house legal counsel community — celebrating individuals who have already made a significant impact on their legal departments, as well as those deputy general counsels poised to assume greater responsibilities.
The ceremony, held at Feriye, İstanbul, brought together over 200 in-house legal counsel honoured for their exceptional contributions to their respective legal departments.
